FIELD: ship building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, particularly to submarine vehicles which break up ice cover using a resonance method. Device for destruction of ice cover consists of submarine vessel capable of exciting resonant flexural-gravity waves when moving under ice at resonant speed, and a pull-out device forming a streamlined bulge above the upper surface of the ship hull nose and able to extend and retract periodically with the frequency of the resonant flexural-gravity waves and stay in the extended or retracted positions for a period of time equal to half the period of these waves.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of ice destruction is achieved.
