FIELD: medicine, chemistry, microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of meeting human needs, more precisely to diagnostic tools in the field of medicine, biology, chemistry, microbiology. A tampon for collecting, applying, storing and transporting chemical or biological materials, made of a polymer powder material, contains a rod consisting of a holder in the form of a thickened lower part and a thinner upper part ending in a tip. The tip is connected to the thin upper part of the rod by a perforated jumper with the possibility of separating the tip from the rod, and at the end of the thickened lower part of the rod there is a container with a volume of 0.2–5.0 ml with the possibility of storing and transporting the separated tip with a sample of the collected chemical or biological material to the destination. The container is equipped with a hermetically sealed lid. The container has the shape of a cone, which is connected by the narrow end to the thickened lower part of the rod, either pivotally with the possibility of separation from it, or by a perforated jumper with the possibility of breaking off after the procedure of collecting chemical or biological materials.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of storing chemical/biomaterials due to the ability to quickly and safely separate the tip after collecting chemical/biomaterials from the rod due to a perforated bridge between the tip and the rod; provides the possibility of transporting chemical/biomaterials due to the presence of a container for transportation with a hermetically sealed lid and the ability to quickly and safely separate the container after collecting chemical / biomaterials from the rod due to a hinged joint or a perforated jumper between the container and the rod and provides an increased volume of collecting (applying) chemical/biomaterials due to the possibility of using containers of different volumes depending on the amount of chemical/biomaterial taken.
