FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: method for enzymatic hydrolysis is carried out in the following way. Wood-based material containing cellulose-based material is pre-treated by at least hydrolysis and steam explosion to form plant-based fed material (1) so that during the steam explosion, the pressure is quickly relieved and hemicelluloses are treated, at least part of hemicellulose polysaccharides is decomposed into monosaccharides and oligosaccharides, and at least part of lignin is separated from plant-based raw material by a combination of hydrolysis and steam explosion. Plant-based fed material (1) is entered to enzymatic hydrolysis stage (2) and subjected to hydrolysis. Carbohydrate-containing liquid fraction (3) is separated from solid fraction (4) at stage (11) of separation of solid substance from liquid, where the major part of enzymes is connected to the solid fraction. At least part (5) of enzyme-containing solid fraction (4) is recycled into plant-based fed material (1), which is fed to enzymatic hydrolysis stage (2). Remaining part (6) of solid fraction (4) is extracted. Device for enzymatic hydrolysis, carbohydrate-containing liquid fraction (3, 9, 20) and lignin-containing solid fraction (4, 6, 10, 16, 21, 22) are proposed.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides efficient production of a solid phase based on lignin and a liquid fraction based on carbohydrates during enzymatic hydrolysis with a reduced dosage of enzymes, improving the purity of lignin.
