SUBSTANCE: proposed is a method and an apparatus for enzymatic hydrolysis. Method includes pretreatment with a combination of acid hydrolysis and steam explosion of the plant-based material, supply of the material for the first stage of enzymatic hydrolysis, hydrolysis of the material on at least two stages of enzymatic hydrolysis. Wherein the period of stay on the first stage is shorter than the period of stay on the second or any of the subsequent stages of enzymatic hydrolysis, wherein the period of stay on the second or any of the subsequent stages is between 22 and 48 hours. Apparatus is comprised of a pretreatment stage, no less than two enzymatic hydrolysis stages, apparatus for supply of the plant-based material and no less than two stages for separation to liquid and solid phases.
EFFECT: improved enzymatic hydrolysis.
