FIELD: railway engineering.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to railway transport, namely to the electro-pneumatic brake of a freight car controlled by electromagnetic valves. The technical solution is presented in three versions. According to the first variant, the brake contains a brake line (1), an air distributor (3), a spare tank (4), an auto-mode device (5), brake cylinders (6), an electromagnetic valve (7) for braking, an electromagnetic valve (8) for releasing the brake. The spare tank (4) is connected to the auto mode device (5) by the first additional pipeline (9) connected bypassing the air distributor (3). The spare tank (4) is connected to the brake line (1) by the second additional pipeline (11) bypassing the air distributor (3). According to the second option, the brake is equipped with only one, the first additional pipeline (9). Charging of the spare tank (4) is performed normally using the air distributor (3). The third option of the brake is characterized by the presence of one, the second additional pipeline (11).
EFFECT: according to any of the proposed approaches, an increase in the efficiency of the brake is provided due to the partial rejection of the air distributor (3), which is characterized by a longer response time to the control pressure drop in the brake line (1).
