FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to railway transport, namely to the design of the brake of an electro-pneumatic freight car controlled by electromagnetic valves. According to the first version, the brake contains a brake line (1), a spare air reservoir (2), brake cylinders (3), a control unit (4), an electromagnetic pneumatic distribution device (5), an electromagnetic valve (6.1), an electromagnetic throttle (6.3) with variable cross section. According to the second option, in addition to the elements of the first option, the air duct (6) is made in the form of two parallel branches (6.5) and (6.6), equipped with electromagnetic valves (6.7), (6.8) and pneumothrottles (6.11) and (6.12) configured for modes "empty freight car", "loaded freight car".
EFFECT: proposed brakes provide an increase in work efficiency by increasing the response speed of its elements and by creating the possibility of providing optimal braking modes.
