FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical technology, namely to a method for producing a granulated inorganic sorbent consisting of a solid solution of titanium and zirconium oxides, intended for work in high-temperature and aggressive environments. Described is a method for producing a granulated inorganic sorbent consisting of a solid solution of titanium and zirconium oxides, consisting in mixing the initial components, dispersing the resulting mixture into a gelling medium, washing the formed particles, drying and calcining, characterised by the fact that hexachlorotitanium acid and zirconium oxychloride are used as the initial components in a molar ratio of Ti/Zr (0.5 to 0.99)/(0.01 to 0.5) with the addition of an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol until the concentration thereof in the finished mixture reaches 50 to 200 g/l, prior to dispersing, the resulting solution is sustained at room temperature for 1 to 7 days, the gel particles are dried in the air for 1 to 24 hours at a temperature of 25 to 80°C, and the calcination is executed in the air at a temperatures of 300 to 450°C.
EFFECT: production of a spherically granulated inorganic sorbent with a well-developed surface (specific surface area from 83 to 132 m2/g with heat treatment under 450°C); low hydrodynamic resistance (pore volume from 0.306 to 0.360 cm3/g); high chemical resistance and mechanical strength; thermal stability of the porous structure and the developed surface at different temperature modes; simplicity of the technological process, availability of used reagents, high productivity.
