FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to radiation oncology and can be used for visualization of the internal pudendal artery (IPA) in the radiation treatment of prostate cancer of low and intermediate risk groups. Computer and magnetic resonance imaging of the pelvic organs is performed to obtain a sequence of T2-weighted images without contrast. In addition, a sequence of T1-weighted images with contrast is obtained. The program combination of both sequences is performed without contrast and with contrast, and the IPA is visualized from both sides throughout the entire length from the internal iliac artery to the medial surface of the legs of the cavernous bodies.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce the radiation load on the IPA by determining the exact topography of the IPA.
