FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding of sheets with an anticorrosive aluminium and silicon coating, made of steel containing boron and manganese. Welding is performed with a laser beam, wherein a filler rod is used, the content of carbon wherein is selected depending on the content of carbon in the steel of the sheets. The rod has the following composition, wt.%: C = (0.80 to 2.28) × the content of C in the steel of the sheets, Cr = 8 to 20, Ni less than 5, Si = 0.2 to 3, Mn = 0.2 to 1, optionally Mo less than 2, optionally V and/or W less than 1 in total, iron and inevitable impurities associated with smelting - the rest. The resulting welded preform is capable of being subsequently hardened. A structure can be produced from the steel preform by means of hot or cold moulding thereof and subsequent hardening by pressing.
EFFECT: advantage of the invention consists in the fact that the hardened steel sheets with an aluminium and silicon coating can be welded together resulting in a weld that does not weaken the structure.
