FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to a medical method for three-dimensional representation of the electrical intracardiac activity and to a system for implementation thereof. Signals are therein received from a catheter configured to be inserted into a cardiac chamber of a living subject and containing electrodes for contact with the tissues at locations inside the cardiac chamber. The voltage values of the signals are sampled. Curved three-dimensional surfaces describing the electrical activity of the tissue on the electrodes during the sampling periods in response to the positions of the electrodes and the sampled voltage values are calculated. The positions of the electrodes constitute positions projected onto a plane. The displacements from the projected positions of the electrodes perpendicular to the plane are calculated. The curved three-dimensional surfaces are aligned in response to the displacements from the projected positions perpendicular to the plane. The three-dimensional surfaces are displayed on a display over time.

EFFECT: three-dimensional representation of the signals of electrical intracardiac activity from complex multipolar catheters or multiple electrodes on linear catheters is provided by a method intuitive for the doctor so as to provide real-time animation of the activation wave associated with the electrical activity of tissues on the electrodes of the catheter.
