FIELD: variable speed transmissions.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to variable speed transmissions. Gear wide-range transmission includes input, intermediate and output shafts, reverser, basic variator and differential. The reverser is installed at the input of the transmission and includes two bevel gears, which are rigidly fixed one on the input shaft and the other on the intermediate shaft. The basic variator consists of driving and driven helical gears with recesses made in the Archimedes spiral, between which an intermediate toothed element is installed with a movement mechanism and an axis of rotation perpendicular to the plane of the axes of rotation of the helical gears. In this case, the drive helical gear of the base variator is cylindrical and rigidly mounted on the intermediate shaft, and the driven bevel helical gear is mounted for rotation relative to the input and output shafts. The differential is installed in the inner cavity of the driven bevel spiral gear, with which its carrier is rigidly connected, the input central wheel with the input shaft, and the output central wheel with the output shaft.
EFFECT: reduction of dimensions, simplification of manufacture and increase in reliability.
