FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: steering system of axles of a construction vehicle contains axles, steering cams, steering actuators, angular displacement sensors and a controller. Rotary cams are attached to axles with the possibility of rotation. Angular displacement sensors measure the rotation between the axle and the steering cam. The controller receives data from angular displacement sensors and controls steering actuators. The method for controlling the steering system of axles of the construction vehicle includes stages at which: data is received from angular displacement sensors, and steering actuators are controlled; it is determined, when the rotation exceeds the range of rotation angles; the rotation is adjusted before entering it into the range of rotation angles; the direction of rotation adjustment is determined; steering of the vehicle is carried out.
EFFECT: accuracy of determining the angle of rotation is improved.
