FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to equipment for the plasma production of metal powders. The device comprises a cathode arc generating electrode, an anode electrode and a control unit, electrically connected to said control unit of a device for supplying the expendable material in the form of a wire to the plasma spraying zone and an electrical circuit for generating and supplying the electric arc. The device comprises a meter for measuring the electrical potential difference between the expendable material and the cathode arc generating electrode, the output of which is connected to said control unit which is capable of controlling the speed at which the expendable material is supplied to the plasma spraying zone.
EFFECT: ensured is increase in quality of the powder produced.
