FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for producing metal powders. Device for producing fine metal powder comprises an electric arc plasma reactor including a plasma spraying and evaporation zone and a powder particles condensation zone, arc excitation cathode electrode, anode electrode, control unit, device for supply of consumable material to plasma spraying and evaporation zone and electric circuit for electric arc excitation and supply. A consumable material in the form of wire is used as a cathode electrode. Device also comprises a plasma temperature sensor in the plasma spraying and evaporation zone and a medium temperature sensor in the powder particles condensation zone, connected to calculators of plasma flow enthalpy values in said plasma spraying zone, and values of enthalpy of condensed gas-powder medium at temperature measurement positions, and values of change of these enthalpies, arc current regulator and coolant flow regulator.
EFFECT: ensures stable production of fine powders with a specified adjustable size range.
