FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for obtaining a sorbent for cleaning waste gases, characterized by the fact that the waste from the production of lime milk is used as a feedstock, which is classified with the release of a paste-like mass containing solid particles with a size of less than 5 mcm, followed by washing the paste-like mass in a counterflow with acetone at a ratio of 1:1 by weight, at a temperature of 50-70°C for 1-3 minutes, the washed mass is subjected to ultrafiltration with the release of permeate containing particles of microcrystalline calcium hydroxide with a size of less than 50 nm, with its subsequent air drying at a temperature of 110-130°C.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of waste gas cleaning.
