FIELD: spontaneous combustion prevention.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group can be applied to prevent spontaneous combustion of coal and to combat such spontaneous combustion. Environmentally friendly foamed gel to prevent spontaneous combustion of coal and combat such spontaneous combustion contains liquid glass 4%-35%, foaming agent 0.4%-3%, foam stabilizer 0.1%-3%, coagulant 1%-5%, and the rest is water. Liquid glass is characterized by a Baume degree of 20-40. The blowing agent is composed of fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (AES) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), and the weight ratio of AES to SDS is from 1:4 to 4:1. The foam stabilizer is one or more of modified polyethoxylated silicone (MPS), triethanolamine (TEA), diethanolamine (DEA), cocoalkyldimethyl betaine, and polyethylene glycol (PEG). To obtain the aforementioned gel, water glass is mixed with deionized water. Bring the mass concentration of liquid glass to 4%-35%. Mix uniformly until a mixed solution is obtained. At the second stage, the foaming agent, foam stabilizer and coagulant are successively added to the mixed solution and mechanical stirring at a speed of more than 1000 rpm until the final formation of a foamed gel. The aforementioned gel is used to feed into the mined-out space of a mine to combat spontaneous combustion of coal. The foamed gel obtained by mixing and foaming water glass, foaming agent, foam stabilizer and coagulant is fed into the goaf. It covers the surface of the coal mass, forming a foam layer that cools the mass and blocks oxygen.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of the fire-fighting effect without subsequent smoldering by slowing down the combustion rate, lowering the temperature of the combustion source, heat release and the formation of CO.
