FIELD: micro-jet technology.

SUBSTANCE: material for liquid volume control includes porous substrate containing the first and the second surfaces, and a liquid control structure located on the first surface, wherein the structure contains the first reservoir connected to a target point by means of the first wedge-shaped transfer element in order to ensure the transfer of liquid from the target point to the first reservoir regardless of gravity. The first surface is either hydrophobic or superhydrophobic. The first wedge-shaped transfer element is one of the following: super-hydrophilic, when the first surface is hydrophobic, super-hydrophilic, when the first surface is superhydrophobic, and hydrophilic, when the first surface is superhydrophobic. The structure may include the second reservoir connected to the target point by the second wedge-shaped transfer element in order to ensure the transfer of liquid from the target point to the second reservoir regardless of gravity.

EFFECT: transfer of large volumes of liquid on the substrate surface and distribution of liquid to required places.
