The effect is achieved by implementing a method for creating and applying a rule for application interaction on an IoT device on which a secure operating system is installed, which includes the following steps: a) receiving from the network security device (hereinafter - the security hub) security settings on the device, which includes: i) a list of allowed applications containing applications that can be installed and launched on the device, ii) applications, which are not on the device, but with which this device is allowed interacting remotely, iii) the policy of using the computing resources of the device; b) transfering the received settings to the decision-making unit on the device; c) creating on the device at least one application interaction rule based on the received settings; d) at least one created interaction rule is applied on the device to control the operation of applications on the device using a secure operating system.

EFFECT: enhancing the security and privacy of IoT devices.
