FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: specified result is achieved by means of a method for controlling an IoT apparatus (hereinafter the apparatus) from the side of an element of the network infrastructure, including the stages of: analysing the apparatus based on one of the following: characteristics of the functionality, information security, and impact on the human activity of the apparatus, determined based on the degree of impact on the safety of human activity, accounting for the assessment of wear of the apparatuses in order to determine the guaranteed operating life of the apparatuses depending on the environmental conditions and the characteristics of the apparatuses; setting the apparatus based on the results of the conducted analysis; if the characteristics considered in the conducted analysis change during operation of the apparatus, changing the settings for the apparatus.
EFFECT: implementation of the present invention.
