SUBSTANCE: technical result is achieved by implementing a method for configuration of IoT apparatuses (hereinafter referred to as apparatuses) on the side of a network infrastructure element (hereinafter referred to as the hub), depending on the type of network containing at least one apparatus, the method comprises the stages of: a. collecting the data on at least one apparatus using the hub, wherein the apparatuses are connected to the hub; b. determining the type of network, wherein the type of network includes a mixed type of network, including two or more types of network; c. determining the policies for configuration of the apparatuses depending on a specific network; d. applying the policies using the hub for monitoring and configuring the apparatuses, the policies include rules for configuring apparatuses depending on a specific network, wherein if the rules for two or more of the above types of networks redefine each other, the rule with a higher security is selected.

EFFECT: increase in the security and confidentiality of IoT apparatuses.
