FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: lens-shaped element intended for wearing in front of the eye comprises a refractive area exhibiting a refractive ability, based on the prescription for the specified eye of the wearer; and a set of at least two continuous optical elements. At least one optical element has the optical function of not focusing the image on the retina of the wearer in order to decelerate the progression of abnormal refraction of the eye. The lens-shaped element additionally comprises at least four optical elements organised in the form of at least two groups of continuous optical elements, wherein each group of continuous optical elements is organised in the form of at least two concentric rings with a common centre. The concentric ring of each group is defined by the inner diameter corresponding to the smallest circumference tangent to at least one optical element of said group and the outer diameter corresponding to the largest circumference tangent to at least one of the optical elements of said group.
EFFECT: suppression or deceleration of the progression of abnormal refraction of the eye.
