FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: following is proposed: a method of selecting an eye lens adapted to correct the user's abnormal refraction of the eye and containing optical elements placed on one surface of the specified eye lens in order to prevent the progression of the user's abnormal eye refraction, wherein the said method involves providing prescription data adapted for at least correcting an abnormal refractive error of the user's eye; providing an abnormal refraction parameter related to the abnormal refraction of the user's eye; providing a sensitivity parameter representing a change in the user's sensitivity depending on at least one parameter of the optical elements; determining the parameter value of the optical elements adapted for the user, based on the anomalous refraction parameter and the sensitivity parameter: selection of an eye lens based on at least prescription data and the parameter value of the optical elements adapted for the user.
EFFECT: use of this invention will prevent or slow down the progression of abnormal refraction of the eye.
