FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing a lens intended to be worn in front of the wearer's eye. Method includes obtaining a lens containing a holographic recording medium located on the first surface of the lens, while the holographic recording medium is configured to convert the interference pattern into a holographic optical element, obtaining prescription data about the wearer, manufacturing the second lens surface based on the wearer's prescription data, recording the holographic optical element in the holographic recording medium in order to provide additional optical power with a sign opposite to the optical power prescribed by the prescription in order to slow down the progression of the abnormal refraction of the eye, the step of manufacturing the second optical lens surface is performed before said stage of recording the holographic optical element.
EFFECT: improving accuracy of the optical characteristics of the lens in order to suppress or at least slow down the progression of abnormal refraction of the eye.
