SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to allergology, immunology and pediatrics. In order to prevent development of bronchial asthma in children with recurrent laryngotracheitis and associated allergic diseases, montelukast is prescribed in an age-specific dosage in courses of 2 months and no less than 3 courses per year.
EFFECT: method ensures effective primary prevention of bronchial asthma due to the reduction in the absolute count of eosinophils in the blood, reduces the number of events of recurrent laryngotracheitis per year, duration of coughing and the number of events of "whistling" coughing.
