FIELD: medical science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to paediatrics and pulmonology, and can be used for early diagnosis of bronchial asthma in children aged 5 years and younger suffered acute bronchiolitis and/or an episode of bronchial obstruction. Clinical anamnestic data and Asthma Prediction Index (API) are assessed, microvasculature parameters are determined by computed capillaroscopy of nail bed. With a positive value of API and an increase in the density of the capillary network in a unit area of 65 or more cap./mm2, a decrease in the arteriolo-venular coefficient from 0.31 or less, an increase in the length of the perivascular zone from 103.6 mcm or more, the patient is diagnosed with bronchial asthma.
EFFECT: method enables providing more accurate diagnosis of bronchial asthma ensured by the integrated assessment of the API and microvasculature parameters.
