FIELD: damping control.

SUBSTANCE: damping control device is configured to obtain, as a preliminary state value, the short state value in the predicted aisle position where the vehicle wheel passage is predicted, based on preliminary reference data, which are data sets in which the short state values and part of the wheel positional information connected to each other. The short values indicate the displacement state of the short portion displaced in the vertical direction due to the displacement of the road surface obtained when the vehicle is moving on the road surface. The damping control device is configured to perform, when the wheel passes through the predicted passing position, preliminary damping control to match the control force with the target control force. A damping control system, a damping control method, and a data providing device are also proposed. Improved damping is achieved.
