SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biodegradable polymers. A method for producing polymers based on lactones and mixtures thereof in the presence of a catalyst for opening cycles in a solution of propylene carbonate or its mixture with ethylene carbonate with a high dielectric constant at a solvent/lactone weight ratio above 1 is proposed.
EFFECT: possibility of single-stage synthesis of polylactones in liquid medium without the use of special additives and difficult-to-synthesize catalysts.
