The invention is a method for directed cultivation, in which the mother culture of microalgae Chlorella sorokiniana is preliminarily prepared in the form of a cell suspension, which is placed in a photobioreactor, the cell suspension is aerated, observing the temperature regime, and illuminated in a day/night mode, while aeration is carried out in mode 1.3-1.7 l/min, maintain the cultivation temperature at 21-24°С, lighting is carried out with a luminous flux of 2800-3200 ml in the mode 12 hours a day "day", 12 hours a day "night", a mixture of additives of 3% hydrogen peroxide and pyridoxine in a ratio of 0.1-0.3 ml is used as part of the basic nutrient medium and 6-16 ml per 10 l of culture medium, respectively.

EFFECT: increased content of carotenoids in dry biomass of microalgae Chlorella sorokiniana by directional cultivation, which is carried out in a selected mode.
