FIELD: detection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of detecting target objects and, more specifically, to detection of explosive apparatuses, such as land mines buried in the ground. Proposed is a detector wherein the detector head comprises: an inductive sensor fixed on a platform (11) and containing a transmitting coil (12) and a receiving coil (13), separate from each other, wherein each of the transmitting coil (12) and the receiving coil (13) form a contour, a ground penetrating radar (60) containing a transmitting antenna (61) and a receiving antenna (62), wherein each of the transmitting antenna (61) and the receiving antenna (62) are located in the centre of one of the contours of the transmitting coil (13) and the receiving coil (13), wherein the transmitting antenna (61) and the receiving antenna (62) have a thickness less than or equal to one micron in order to limit interactions with the inductive sensor (12).
EFFECT: creation of a composite detector containing a detector head accommodating an inductive sensor and another sensor, such as a ground penetrating radar, capable of reducing the amount of false alarms occurring when the ground is scanned using the detector, while exhibiting higher sensitivity.
