FIELD: detection equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used for detection of prohibited objects carried by people. A system for detection of prohibited objects carried by people contains a metal detector containing at least three converters placed from both sides of a passage, while two of the specified converters are located on the same side of the passage and longitudinally spaced in a direction of movement along the passage, and the third converter is located on the opposite side of the passage with the possibility of implementation of detection in space of location of detected metal objects with a combination of three converters.
EFFECT: provision of a possibility of detection of location of a metal object located on the person’s body, as well as provision of a possibility of an increase in the accuracy and speed of inspection.
