FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for ensuring fire safety in shipboard premises and can be used in shipbuilding, in particular in shipboard fire and temperature alarm systems for detecting fires at the initial stages of their development. According to the stated solution, the air temperature of the room near the deck is additionally determined and the rate of change of the difference in the air temperature value at the basement and at the deck is calculated. The obtained result is compared with the pre-assigned limit values, the value of which for each type of ship’s room is set based on operational experience, and a fire is signaled when these values are reached.
EFFECT: expansion of the functionality of fire and temperature alarm systems in terms of earlier detection of the appearance of an abnormal heat source in the room, which actually means the detection of a fire at the initial stage of its development, including the possibility to detect potential sources of fire.
