FIELD: physical apparatuses.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for surface plastic deformation of the outer surfaces of bodies of rotation. Rotational motion is imparted on the workpiece relative to the own longitudinal axis and longitudinal supply is imparted on the working tool with a deforming element with two working profile radii, creating pressure thereby on the surface of the workpiece. A deforming element in the form of two deforming rollers is used. The axis of rotation of the deforming element is positioned perpendicular to the axis of the workpiece. Oscillating rotation is imparted on the working tool relative to the axis passing through the plane connecting the two deforming rollers of the deforming element and perpendicular to the axis of the workpiece.
EFFECT: increase in the stress state at the deformation site and increase in the mechanical properties of the material of the surface layer of parts are provided as a result.
