FIELD: combination working of metals by friction surface hardening and surface-plastic striking pulse deforming, possibly finishing surfaces.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of using combination type tool having mandrel carrying mounted in it along the same axis device for working by balls and device for friction surface hardening. Tapered washers are mounted in pairs on ends of combination type tool. Washer-gasket is placed between devices. Device for working by balls has left and right lids mutually joined along their periphery through elastic shell with seats for balls; set of spacing washers arranged between said devices. Device for friction surface hardening includes disc made of material with low heat conductivity. At working process change of tool oscillation amplitude is gradually controlled.

EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities, improved quality and efficiency of working, increased wear resistance of tool.
