FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, namely, to lubrication systems of reciprocating internal combustion engines, primarily those included in engine stands, and can be used for testing engines in factory conditions, in repair organisations, research institutions and educational facilities. The automated system for control the process of lubrication of a reciprocating internal combustion engine comprise an oil crankcase 1 of the engine with the engine oil subject to tasting, taken by an oil pump 3 for supply into the oil system circuit, additionally introduced whereto are a shutoff element 22, a filter element 18 with a bypass line 19, pressure drop 20 and oil viscosity 21 sensors. The temperature setting of the oil in the lubrication system is maintained by a water-oil heat exchanger 6. For accelerated heating of the oil to the optimal temperature setting, a heater 17 is installed, connected to an actuating mechanism 23 controlled by a software control unit 14. The temperature setting and the condition of the engine oil in the lubrication system are controlled automatically by the software control unit 14, temperature sensors 15, 16, viscosity sensor 21, pressure drop sensor 20, shutoff element 22 and valves with cooling liquid temperature sensors 12, 13.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of the results of examining the engine oil due to the elimination of adding the required amount of oil to the crankcase during the test with simultaneous reduction in the duration of the test, eliminating engine stops, thereby increasing the diagnostics of the ICE.
