SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, pediatrics, cardiology and sports medicine; it can be used to increase the heart rate in young athletes with sinus bradycardia (heart rate less than 60 beats/min) for an adequate assessment of the corrected QT interval (QTc) using the Bazett formula, when detecting a latent prolongation of QT interval on the ECG in athletes, underestimated in view of sinus bradycardia. After a 5-minute rest, 12-channel ECG is taken at rest, when sinus bradycardia (heart rate less than 60 beats/min) is detected, without changing the body position, a test with isometric exercises is carried out - work with a wrist expander to increase heart rate. For the test, a wrist expander with a set compression force (20 kg) is used for rhythmic compression of the expander with a dominant hand, lasting from 20 to 30 seconds until a heart rate of 60 beats/min or more is reached. After that, 12-channel ECG is recorded again, heart rate, QT interval (QTc) are assessed. QTc interval is assessed in the II standard lead (in case of interference - in the V5 lead).
EFFECT: method provides increased accuracy of detecting latent prolongation of QT interval on the ECG in athletes.
