FIELD: short range radiolocation and hydrolocation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to short range radiolocation and hydrolocation and can be used in systems of autonomous interacting objects movement control for calculating at limited distances the parameters of an object's movement - ground speed, heading parameter and the angle of encounter of a moving or stationary locator with a moving object. In the claimed method, a pulse signal is emitted, a reflected echo signal is received from the surface of a moving object, ranges measured between them are, the initial reference time T is set, the first range R1, the second range R2 and the third range R3 to the observed moving object are recorded in the first, second and third discrete periods, respectively. Then the desired parameters of the object's movement are calculated: the speed of convergence of the moving object and the locator, the course parameter, the angle of encounter of the locator with the moving object.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of measured parameters of the target movement, as well as simplification of the implementation of the method by using only distance measurement.
