FIELD: amplifiers.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to system (100) for amplifying frequency-shifted pulses with M outputs, wherein M>1, which contains: expander (10) with an expansion degree tx_stretch, M amplifiers arranged in a cascade (201, …, 20M), M output compression devices (301, …, 30M), respectively placed at the output of each amplifier, wherein the mentioned circuit of amplification cascades additionally contains: partial compression device (50) placed between the expander and the first amplifier, a partial compression device having at least one degree of partial compression, a degree (or degrees) of partial compression less than tx_stretch, and optical switch (40) configured with the possibility of receiving an output beam of expander (10) and directing it directly to first amplifier (201) of the cascade or to partial compression device (50), depending on the output compressor selected among output compressors.

EFFECT: possibility of simultaneous avoiding mechanization of the diffraction component of the expander and using compact intermediate compressors as it is possible.
