FIELD: poultry farming.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for sorting eggs; it can be used in poultry farming and in the poultry processing industry in the mechanization and automatization of the sorting process of substandard products. A method for detecting substandard products in an egg tray consists in that filled egg trays are moved on a conveyor through a detection system containing a video camera connected to a technical vision controller that processes an image obtained from the video camera. The detection system also contains a sensor for the presence of products on the conveyor and a conveyor for the removal of substandard products. At the same time, the image of the tray is recorded using the video camera and/or the sensor for the presence of products and transmitted to the machine technical vision controller that processes the image. Depending on the type of a detected object - tray, an algorithm for counting the number of eggs for trays with a capacity of 20 and 30 eggs and an algorithm for matching the packaging geometry for closed trays with a capacity of 10 and 15 eggs is launched. At the same time, an algorithm for detecting marking on found eggs is launched by searching for the image of marking on the top of the egg and detecting it as an object of a different color from the color of the egg, and a geometric shape. At the same time, pieces of dirt and crashed products are detected as follows: the egg search is trained to search for an oval shape with filling of a uniform color within the specified limits. The insufficiency of filling with one color gives a signal about an undetected egg, which in turn forms a signal about insufficient laying. Based on image processing, a video camera controller generates several signals: the presence of an object in the camera, or a signal about insufficient laying, or a signal about the absence of marking, or a signal about the presence of dirt. The controller of the conveyor system receives the specified signals and, based on them, controls a pneumatic cylinder, using which substandard products enter the removal conveyor, and standard products are delivered further along the conveyor to the packaging.

EFFECT: invention provides for the search and sorting of substandard products in group egg packaging.
