EMERGENCY DRAINAGE DEVICE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61M27/00 A61M1/00

Abstract RU 2759795 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine and is intended to collect biological fluids from the chest or abdominal cavities, stabilize them and return them to the patient as needed, as well as evacuate air from the pleural cavity and expand the lung tissue, and various combinations of these components are also possible. A device for urgent drainage of the chest or abdominal cavities for collecting biological fluids or air contains an elastic container made of transparent plastic with stiffening ribs, made in the form of a storage tank, connected to a double-lumen tube, including a drainage tube and a tube for connection with active aspiration with a plug, a sound valve signal for unidirectional discharge of air to the external environment, three-way valve for emptying the contents of the elastic container and intake of liquid for laboratory research. One channel of the double-lumen tube is configured to reach the bottom of the container and has side openings, the size of which is smaller than the width of the channel, and the second channel of the double-lumen tube is configured to terminate at the entrance to the container and has side openings.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to create conditions for adequate and effective drainage of the abdominal or chest cavities, and to reduce the likelihood of complications during drainage.
