FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery, and can be used for exudate removal from abdominal cavity in patients with widespread purulent peritonitis. After midline laparotomy and sanitation of abdominal cavity, device for active drainage of abdominal cavity is installed. Device is made in the form of a system of two silicone T-shaped double-lumen drainage tubes mounted in a silicone plate. Drain tubes in the centre are connected to a splitter, which is a three-lumen silicone tube with one macrochannel and two microchannels. Free ends of double-lumen T-shaped tubes are placed in lateral canals of abdominal cavity, in subphrenic spaces and small pelvis. Exudate is removed from the abdominal cavity using a vacuum system with a constant negative pressure of 80-100 mm Hg. A sterile saline solution is introduced drop-by-drop into the microchannels of the drainage system.

EFFECT: method provides reducing the number of repeated sanitizing operations required for peritonitis relief, reduces the rate of suppurative complications in the abdominal cavity and anterior abdominal wall due to active aspiration of the abdominal contents and introduction of physiological saline into the abdominal cavity using the original device.
