FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanisms for moving heavy loads. The universal pneumatic jack (UPJ) contains a working volume enclosed in a sealed high-strength elastic shell (HSES) located inside a conical tension spring (CTS) capable of independently fitting in the form of a spiral in the same plane, which has common bases with the HSES along the edges. The coils of the spring can have any desired cross-section shape and configuration. In the position of its greatest tension, the jack has the form of a truncated cone, in which, when compressed, the surface of the shell is freely and evenly distributed outward between the coils of the spring. The rigid upper base is equipped with a device for installing replaceable tools that ensure reliable and safe movement of various objects to the required distance. To obtain the optimal thickness, the HSES wall can consist of two thin-walled parts, one of which provides the necessary strength, and the other tightness.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of the jack and ease of operation is achieved, as well as its use in carrying out various types of work where rapid, as well as cyclical movement and lifting of objects over a short distance (auto repair, rescue and construction work, presses for various purposes, etc.) is required.
