FIELD: medical technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical technology, in particular to a device for treating body tissue and its manufacture. The device contains a radiation diffuser connected at its near end to a laser radiation energy source through a flexible waveguide containing an optical fiber core covered with an optical shell having a refractive index lower than the refractive index at the core. Defects are provided in the shell and/or in the core, made in the form of recesses and provided for the direction of radiation, preferably for refraction and/or reflection of radiation propagating in the core and/or its optical shell mainly in radial directions, as well as a cap transparent to laser radiation, covering the far end of the core and its optical shell in a manner impervious to fluid and/or impermeable to liquid. The outer surface of the optical shell is fused in the area (A) between the mentioned defects to the inner surface, preferably to the inner diameter, of the cap. The outer surface of the optical shell extending for a distance before and/or after the area (A) equipped with the defect is fused to the inner surface, preferably to the inner diameter, of the cap.
EFFECT: extension of the range of solutions for treating body tissues.
