FIELD: engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method for continuous cleaning of a moving strip by ultrasound in container. The method is carried out on cleaning installation. The installation contains a container containing an aqueous solution, at least one roller immersed in specified aqueous solution, at least one means of ultrasound radiation, means for supplying an aqueous solution inside the specified container, means for emptying the specified container. The installation additionally contains means for assessing level of aqueous solution in container, means for calculating distance from each ultrasound radiation medium to the level of aqueous solution, and means for controlling power of at least one ultrasound radiation medium. According to the method, the level of aqueous solution in container is evaluated. Then distance from each means of ultrasound radiation to the level of aqueous solution is calculated. The distance from each means of ultrasound radiation to the level of aqueous solution with a given threshold value is compared. The power of ultrasound radiation means is reduced, the distance from which to the level of aqueous solution is below the specified preset threshold value.

EFFECT: increased cleaning efficiency, ability to effectively and automatically control power of ultrasound radiation devices to increase energy saving and service life of ultrasound radiation devices.
