FIELD: charging.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to induction charging of accumulators of electric vehicles. The method for controlling the operation of an induction charging apparatus consists in the fact that at least at one of the stages thereof, by means of a control and/or adjustment unit of the induction charging apparatus, foreign objects are identified, wherein at least at one of the stages thereof, foreign objects are identified depending on the power transmission parameter. At least at another stage thereof, identification of foreign objects is therein suspended depending on the reduction in the value of the power transmission parameter below the boundary value, in particular, the lower boundary value. Also claimed is an induction charging apparatus for implementation of the method for controlling the operation of an induction charging apparatus, allowing for identification of foreign objects depending on the power transmission parameter.

EFFECT: reduction in the interruptions in the charging process, caused by identification of foreign objects, allowing for long charging cycles and reduction in the duration of charging.
