METHOD FOR ASSESSING MYOCARDIAL DAMAGE AND RISK OF COMPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT AFTER CARDIAC SURGERY Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G01N33/48 A61B5/21

Abstract RU 2760242 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to clinical laboratory diagnostics and cardiac surgery, and discloses a method for assessing myocardial damage and the risk of complications after heart surgery in conditions of extracorporeal circulation. The method is characterized by the fact that the level of highly sensitive troponin in the patient's blood is determined twice: after 2-6 hours - Tn early and after 12-24 hours - Tn late, the index of myocardial damage is calculated as the ratio of Tn late to Tn early and when the value of the damage index is 1, 8 or more assess myocardial damage and the risk of complications as high.

EFFECT: method allows assessing the degree of damage and the effectiveness of protection of the myocardium, as well as the risk of complications in the postoperative period and can be used in clinical practice.
