FIELD: nuclear engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for drying the reinforced concrete body of a fast neutron nuclear reactor with a liquid metal coolant (LMC). In the drying system, one of the intermediate metal shells separating concretes of different compositions that make up the concrete array, which are different in composition, is made hermetic. The volume of free space inside this shell is chosen to be no more than 0.8 of the volume of the liquid metal coolant located during operation in the reactor vessel above the core. The upper section of the intermediate sealed shell is located at a level no lower than the level of the liquid metal coolant in the body during operation. The prefabricated collector with the pipes of the concrete drying system is located above the upper section of the intermediate sealed shell.
EFFECT: organization of the movement of vapors and gases formed while drying on the principles of natural circulation and the exclusion of the probability of exposing the core of a nuclear reactor.
