The matrix (10, 100, 200) for a soft gel capsule with several compartments comprises a matrix pocket (20) formed by the wall (12) of the matrix pocket and the lower surface (11); and one or more dividing walls (18) dividing the matrix pocket (20) into two or more sections (14, 16), wherein the corresponding upper sections of the wall (12) of the matrix pocket and said one or more dividing walls (18) are formed as platforms (29, 39), the upper part of the platform (29) along the perimeter of the wall (12) of the matrix pocket lies in the same plane, and the lowermost point of the upper part of the platform (39) of said one or more dividing walls (18) is lower than the plane by a gap distance, according to the invention, at least one of said one or more dividing walls (18) comprises a recess (19) in the upper part of the platform (39) thereof. Also disclosed are a stamping roll, a rotation matrix encapsulation apparatus, a soft gel capsule, a set with a pair of complementary matrices, an apparatus for producing a soft gel capsule.
