FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of orthodontics, dental orthopedics and maxillofacial surgery, in particular, for humans. An orthodontic device for dilating a palatine arch contains the first crossbars designed to support the left side of the jaw of a patient to be treated, the second crossbars designed to support the right side of the jaw, and a central clamp for modulating the opening of crossbars. The first or the second crossbars contain at least one first connecting crossbar for placement between the clamp and the first tooth and the second connecting crossbar for placement between the clamp and the second tooth. The device also includes a ball joint for adjusting an angle between the clamp and the first crossbars and a ball joint for adjusting an angle between the clamp and the second crossbars to allow geometric adjustment during placement of the device in the patient's oral cavity at least in a vertical or anterior direction.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to ensure the accurate positioning of the crossbar relatively to each tooth, its precise adjustment and adjustment as a result of anterior or vertical movement as a result of changing the angle between the clamp and the crossbar.
