FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device for vacuum capping of a medical container contains a main case that determines an internal volume, which contains a variable pressure chamber made with the possibility of connecting to a vacuum pump; a plug holder system communicating with the variable pressure chamber and made with the possibility of receiving and holding a plug in an alignment position with a direction of movement of a piston rod, and a piston rod moved inside the internal volume of the main case along a longitudinal axis between a proximal starting position and a distal working position, in which the piston rod pushes the plug into the medical container. A container holder system provided in the main case is located distally relatively to the plug holder system, and it communicates with the variable pressure chamber. The container holder system is designed to receive a proximal end of the medical container to be capped and hold the medical container aligned with the direction of movement of the piston rod, so that when moving, the piston rod pushes the plug from the plug holder system into the medical container to cap the medical container. A system for vacuum capping of a medical container and a method for vacuum capping are disclosed.
EFFECT: quick and easy vacuum capping of the medical container.
