FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a drug delivery device and particularly to drug delivery device configured to connect to drug containers having at least two chamber comprising drugs to be mixed manually before the delivery. The drug delivery device for preparing and delivering a reduced drug comprises a proximal portion of the body, a distal portion of the body attached to the proximal portion of the body, a drug delivery drive unit provided in the distal portion of the body, and an actuator on the distal portion of the body. The proximal portion of the body is designed to enclose a multi-chamber container containing at least two agents. The proximal and distal portions of the body are moveable in relation to each other from a projected position into a retracted position, thereby the drive unit activates the container for mixing at least two agents, and thereby producing the reduced drug. The actuator comprises an executive mechanism engaged with the drive unit, when the user applies it for the reduced drug delivery. The drive unit is mounted in the distal portion of the body so that to move by means of the proximal portion of the body, when the proximal and distal portions of the body are moved from the projected position into the retracted position, from a first position spaced from the executive mechanism into a second position, wherein the above drive unit engage with the executive mechanism. The actuator comprises an activating element, which can be displaced between an inactive position, wherein the executive mechanism is prevented from engaging with the drive unit, and an active position, wherein the executive mechanism can be engaged with the drug delivery drive unit. The executive mechanism is able to interact with the drive unit for delivering the reduced drug delivery in the active position of the activating element only and in the second position of the drive unit.
EFFECT: invention provides preparing and delivering the reduced drug by safe and reliable way, avoiding the unintended reduced drug delivery, while the mixing stage is not completed.
